Create a Relaxing Bedroom Sanctuary

Everyone wants the most peaceful bedroom, where they can unwind and get a good night’s rest after a long, busy day.

Creating a tranquil bedroom design can be tough to do on your own, especially if you’re unsure of what kind of décor creates a peaceful ambiance.

There are hundreds of ways to make a bedroom relaxing, so let Blank Creatives break it down into simple terms for you.

How to Create a Relaxing Bedroom

At Blank Creatives, many of our clients love to inquire about how to design a relaxing bedroom setting.

When we’re asked this, we look to the places where people visit most for a peaceful unwinding – hotel rooms.

Take a look at our favourite hotel rooms and how their designs promote the ultimate relaxation:

Moody Colour Palette

A colour palette with grey, neutral, dim tones makes this bedroom feel cozy and luxurious.

The integrated headboard and bedside make the overall design of this space clean, seamless and slightly modern, a perfect combination to make any bedroom vibe feel peaceful.

Colour, Joy & Relaxion

While neutral tones make us feel relaxed, colour can bring joy and relaxation into a bedroom as well.

Bright colours make us feel comfortable while darker ones can make others feel too peaceful, dark and almost anxious.

While this isn’t true for everybody, including some colour into your ambiance never hurts.

Dedicated Spaces for Relaxing

Incorporate a small space in your bedroom where you can do whatever you like to do in order to get away from all the chaos going on in your living room.

Dedicating a small corner in your bedroom to reading, watching television, or simply putting your feet up and existing, can make your space feel calmer and much more inviting.

Emerald Green Tones

Darker tones, such as green, navy, purple or brown, can create the moody relaxation that we often crave.

If you’re not a huge fan of darker shades, you can still incorporate them throughout your bedroom in lighter forms. This room is known as the Emerald Room, but as you can see the tones are almost more olive than emerald.

You can also include darker shades into your décor accents, if you don’t want to paint your walls.

Relaxing Bedroom Designs

Whether you’re a fan of neutral tones, dark shades, or colourful accents, Blank Creatives has the creativity to help you construct your next peaceful bedroom.

Try some of our tips on your own and see how you do, and if you’re not impressed feel free to give us a call!

There are countless ways to make a bedroom relaxing and what works for us, may be entirely different than what works for you.

Either way, we’d love to help spark your creativity.
