Every project is unique, but here are some very rough starting points to help you understand how design fees work.

What Affects Our Interior Design Costs?

Project size & scope – More rooms, more detail, more drawings.
Compliance – BCA, DDA, shopping centre or landlord approvals can add complexity.
Customisation – Bespoke joinery and unique finishes require more design time.
Speed of delivery – Tight timelines often mean more intensive work.

Hospitality - Cafe

A small café (20–50m²) with a budget of around $200K for fit-out may start at $10,000 in design fees.

If the café is inside a shopping centre, costs will increase to cover compliance layers and working with retail design managers.

Hospitality - Restaurant

An average Restaurant with a budget of around $300K for fit-out may start at $12,000 in design fees.

If the Restaurant has existing services & features to be used, will help to keep the costs down. However if your space is brand new & requires a full design, including kitchen layout and flow - this will increase our fees.

Residential - New build

A new build requiring a full design package (floor plans, bathrooms, kitchens, joinery, selections, finishes) will usually start around $20,000.

Costs vary depending on number of rooms, bathrooms, and the amount of custom joinery involved.

Residential Rennovation

The cost for our services for a home renovation depend on the size of your project. If you are purely looking for a refresh, with new kitchen & bathroom designs but no structural changes to your layout our fees generally begin at $10,000. Again this depends on the size, amount & level of detail of the design you are seeking.
